On Wednesday Bonnie turned 5 months old. She had a follow up doctor's appointment on Friday to check on her weight. Turns our she's really been chunking up this month. She put on 1lb 7oz in one month! That puts her at 13lb 14oz, which is the 25th percentile. She's also grown almost two inches over the past month too. She was 25.8 inches long which puts her in the 78th percentile. Talk about a growth spurt!
We took these pictures of our Baby Gnome on her 5 month birthday. I guess we should look for a baby gnome to add to our gnome family.
We're still trying to introduce solid foods into Bonnie's diet but she still continues to be less than interested. Two weekends ago she actually swallowed a few spoonfuls of rice cereal so on Thursday we decided to give sweet potatoes a try. She was not interested at all. I tried again this afternoon and she swallowed a couple of spoonfulls so we're making progress.
Bonnie has been making some really great progress over the past few weeks. She has mastered rolling over and is now making some indications that she will be crawling any week now. She is still not really interested in sitting up. Why sit up when you can stand? Her exersaucer has been her new favorite toy. She loves playing with all the toys but I think she likes getting a better view of everything going on in the house.
