We had a really nice and relaxing visit, which was much needed for all of us! On Friday we ventured out in the 90 degree weather to the Denver Botanic Gardens. They had some pretty displays but we were a bit too early to see the roses or peonies in full bloom.
Saturday I surprised everyone with tickets to the Colorado Symphony. They were playing Beethoven's 9th Symphony, which was really great. Additionally, they played a modern piece written to commemorate 9/11. It was really strange and not something that I would ever want to see again.
On Sunday we wandered up to Estes Park where there was a small artist show going on. On our way we got to see some Rocky Mountain wildlife.
On top of that we got to get a glimpse of "Jack."
