11 Months Old

We've officially got a very opinionated and sometimes extremely bossy 11 month old. At some point over the last month Bonnie's attitude has taken a wrong turn. Don't be fooled by the extra cute picture above because she is becoming a real handful. Over the last week she has learned how to throw objects across the room, at people and at dogs. Diaper changes have become the battle of the century each and every time. The countdown to potty training has officially begun - 7 months and counting.

On her 11 month birthday Bonnie discovered how cool leaves are especially when you step on them. She insisted on stepping on EVERY single leaf from daycare to the car which ended up taking us 15 minutes. Good thing it was a nice day outside!

Bonnie is an expert walker now and is beginning to dabble in running. The soft soled shoes are not cutting it anymore since she has nearly run a hole in them. Tomorrow we are headed to the Striderite store to get some big girl shoes.

Over the past week or so Bonnie has really become so much more interested in reading books. She will actually bring books to us so that we can read them to her. She really likes the peek-a-boo book she got at a birthday party and Puff the Magic Dragon, which is a sing-a-long book. We've also been working on getting her to say her first word. She has mama down and sporadically says dada but we've been working on dog. She only gets as far as da and calls everything da now. Its very cute!
