This was Bonnie's first Halloween and we made sure she looked super cute. I ordered a kangaroo costume that ended up being adorable! It was a little big so I had to make some last minute adjustments but overall it worked out great. The costume even came with a smaller kangaroo baby hand puppet to put in the pouch.
Bonnie's daycare had all the kids dress up and go trick or treating in the Federal building the daycare is in. Matt and I tagged along and actually spent a good hour chasing Bonnie around. There were 3 floors that were participating but Bonnie (and Mommy and Daddy) had had enough after about 1 and 1/2 floors.
Bonnie did a great job and had a good time. She got a ton of candy, which really means Matt and I got a ton of candy. We even got a family photo, which are hard to come by now-a-days.
Tonight we dressed Bonnie up again and walked around the block. It took about an hour to walk around the block mainly because Bonnie was very concerned with picking up rocks and leaves. Our neighbors really go all out but it didn't seem to bother her at all. She even got a snickers bar from a man holding a severed hand and a twix bar from Satan but to her it was just another day. Not quite sure if this is a good or bad thing yet.
When Bonnie was done she was really done as you can tell above. She did an awful lot of walking today and saw a lot of interesting things so its no wonder she was pretty worn out by the end of the night!
