We are so lucky to be able to say that we made it through the recent flooding in Colorado. The news has been calling it a "once in 1,000 years" flood. Good news is that we hopefully won't be around to see the next one! Once the first round of flooding happened we drove around Erie and Longmont to check out the damage.
This was a common site around town. There were more roads closed because of flooding than were open.
Longmont looked like a horror movie. There were National Guard everywhere blocking streets.
Poor Longmont. Things are not good there. We took these pictures before the second round of flooding which pretty much shut down the city.
We are still dealing with some flooding issues in and around our area. It looks like its going to be quite a long time until things are back to normal.
