Make Room for Baby

We've been busy trying to wade through all of Bonnie's old baby stuff in order to get ready for the new baby. She had a lot more clothes, toys and other baby related crap than I remembered!I spent one whole weekend just going through all the boxes of clothes, separating out the different sizes and then doing massive amounts of laundry. My attempts to create a controlled chaos of clothes was thwarted by Bonnie who insisted on trying on many of her old baby clothes. She was actually able to get a newborn sized onesie on, although it's a bit snug. In this picture she's also wearing the pants she wore home from the hospital. I'd say she's grown quite a bit over the last 2 1/2 years!

We also have gone through the basement and brought up everything else that the baby will need like the swing, bouncy seat and carseat. Everything has been washed and put back together. All we need to do now is pack the hospital bag. We will be much more prepared this time for a regular sized or large baby! The hard part now is trying to keep Bonnie away from all the new "toys." She has insisted on swinging her babies in the baby swing upstairs and she puts all her babies to bed in the bassinet every night.Bonnie's new teacher told me that she really enjoys dressing the babydolls at school and giving them baths. I think she's ready to be a big sister!
