The Bet to End All Bets

Matt and I have entered into a bet that will blow all other bets out of the water. A few days ago Matt was saying how he wished we could name the baby after a Braves player. Of course he suggested Chipper, which immediately received a big NO on my part. Then he suggested Tomahawk. It had a certain ring to it so I agreed that it could be baby's middle name. Before you start freaking out there are of course some pretty stringent conditions that must all be met before baby gets named Tomahawk. Here are the conditions of the bet:

1. The Braves have to make it to the World Series. If you haven't been keeping track of the Braves lately they haven't been to the World Series in quite awhile - since 1999 to be exact.

2. The Braves have to win the World Series. Now, this may be a difficult feat for the Braves. Including their time in Boston and Milwaukee, the Braves have only won 3 World Series Championships in 9 appearances, with the last win in 1995.

3. The Braves have to win the World Series on the same day that baby is born. This is the real hard one for Baby Tomahawk. In recent years the World Series has been played in November which could have worked in Matt's favor but this year the league has decided to go back to October. The 2011 World Series is set to begin on October 19th. Baby isn't due until November 7th which puts it roughly at 37 weeks should this condition be met.

Overall, I feel pretty confident that there will be no Baby Tomahawk in my future but you never know with the Braves!
