Helmut & Flora

Who are Helmut and Flora you might be asking yourself? They are the newest additions to our family! When we were in Arvada earlier in the week we saw a little store where you could paint your own pottery. We thought it was a cute idea but what really sold us on the idea was the fact that they had gnomes to paint. For some time now I've been wanting to get a gnome to put in our indoor "garden" - I think it's my German/English heritage. Matt remembered seeing a similar store in Longmont so we went to check it out. To my surprise they had a lady gnome which the store in Arvada didn't have (it was very exciting!)

It took much more concentration than either of us had expected.


Helmut & Flora! It took a whopping 4 hours to get them painted.

We have to wait until Thursday before we can pick them up because they have to be placed into a kiln and "cooked" for awhile. We were pretty impressed with our gnome painting abilities and are really excited to see how Helmut & Flora turn out.
